Pet Portraits Tributes to Much Loved Pets - Rainbow Bridge

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our furry friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again - just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. 

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing, they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His or her bright eyes are intent as their eager body quivers with anticipation and joy. Suddenly he or she begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, as their legs carry them faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the familiar beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your furry companion, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.......

Tremor So sadly died 14 April 2004 Played the very best she could with the hand life dealt her. So loved and so terribly missed.	Callum Sadly died 26 April 2003 Such a strong character will  be sadly missed.	Quake Sadly died 3 March 2003 Such a lovely old boy and very sadly missed.	Tansy Sadly put to sleep on Monday 27 January 2003, to save further suffering. You will be missed so much.
Percy Beautiful memories of a lovely old boy. Died 31st May 2002 aged 17 years. So sadly missed but always remembered.	Charlie Cruelly run down  by a hit and run driver 2000. A young, happy, lively, loving girl. Still loved and sadly missed.	Mitzi Died 28 Feb 2002 aged 17 years. So sadly missed after a terrible accident. See you again at Rainbow Bridge.	Bemidji Bemidji, the gentleman dog, my soul mate, you were loved. Holly (Mom).
Titch the Hamster. Died 2 June 2001aged 2 years. So little but so loved.	Shato Died on 25 Sept 2000 aged 12 years.  You were so beautiful and I miss you so much. See you at Rainbow Bridge Shato. Messina.	Toby Died 1 May 1997 aged 9 years. A terrible accident took you from us. See you at Rainbow Bridge.	Tarka Died 29 Jan 1996 aged 13 years. Put to sleep to save further suffering. See you again at Rainbow Bridge.
Gem Died 12 June 1994 aged 16 years. Put to sleep to save you any more pain. Sadly missed and always remembered.	Mufty Died  June 1994 aged 16 years. Put to sleep when her heart failed. See you again at Rainbow Bridge.	Benji 26 May 1993 aged nearly 17 years. Put to sleep to save you any more pain. Sadly missed and always remembered.	Basil Died 8 July 1991 from Leukaemia aged 9 years. Put to sleep to save you any more suffering. We will always remember you Baz.
Tam Died 16 May 1990 aged 18 years. You had had enough.  Miss you terribly. See you again at Rainbow Bridge.	Me-Too Died 9 Oct 1982. Put to sleep after an accident. Sadly missed and fondly remembered.	Worzel Died 9 Sept 1982 aged 2 years. Sadly missed after a terrible accident. See you again at Rainbow Bridge.

All I need from you is a CLEAR photo of your pet dog, cat, or any other pet, person or place, to create a unique and special gift or memorial.

If you do not have any CLEAR, close up photos of your pet, take some NOW.  If your pet has, sadly, died, I will certainly look at your photos to see if I can work from them.

I love my pet portrait work, but one of the saddest aspects is where an old pet has died and the owner has no clear photo to remember their friend by, or, indeed, to create a pet portrait memorial to their lost one. So take those pictures now, even if you do not yet decide on a painting of your pet. Pet Portraits make loving and lasting tributes to lost friends.

Heaven

An old man and his dog were walking down a dirt road with fences on either side.  They came to a gate in the fence and peered over at a very pleasant, grassy and wooded area - just what the man and his dog would love.  However, there was a sign on the gate saying "No Trespassers" so they walked on.

Soon they came to a beautiful gate with a person in white robes standing next to it.  "Welcome to Heaven" he said.  The old man was very happy and started to enter with his dog following him.  The Gatekeeper stopped him.  "Dogs aren't allowed.  I'm sorry but he cannot come in with you."

"What kind of Heaven won't allow dogs?  If he can't come in, then I will stay out with him.  He has been my faithful companion all his life and I cannot desert him now."

"Suit yourself, but I have to warn you.  The Devil's on this road and he will try to sweet-talk you into his area.  He'll promise you anything but your dog can't go in there either.  If you won't leave your dog, you will spend Eternity on this road."

So the old man and his dog travelled on.  They came to a run-down fence with a gap in it, no gate, just a hole.  Another old man was inside. "Excuse me Sir, my dog and I are getting very tired.  Do you mind if we come in and sit in the shade for a while?"

"Of course.  There's some cool water under that tree over there.  Make yourselves comfortable."

"Are you sure my dog can come in?  The man down the road said dogs were not allowed in anywhere."

"Would you come in if you had to leave your dog outside?"

"No Sir.  That's why I didn't go to Heaven.  He said the dog couldn't come in. We will be spending Eternity on this road and a glass of cold water and some shade would be very good for the moment but, I won't come in if my friend here can't come too, and that's final."

The man smiled a big smile and said "Welcome to Heaven."

"You mean this is Heaven?  Dogs ARE allowed? Why did that man down the road said they weren't?"

"That was the Devil and he gets all the people who are willing to give up their lifelong companion for a comfortable place to stay.  They soon find out their mistake,  but by then it's too late.  The dogs come here, the fickle people stay there.  God wouldn't allow dogs to be banned from Heaven.  After all, He created them to be man's companions in life so why would he separate them in death?"
